About the roleâ¦
We are seeking passionate applicants that have a budding desire to contribute to the horticultural protection and improvement of our sensitive biodiversity sites within Council's parks, reserves, ovals and biodiversity gardens. With a keen eye for detail, you bring creative and innovative thinking when setting high performance and delivery standards. This role will undertake the enhancement and maintenance of the City of Unley’s valuable natural resources to a high standard which generates public awareness and appreciation surrounding our biodiversity assets. This ensures the long-term survival of our unique resource and highlights the important role biodiversity plays in our society.

About youâ¦
You will have demonstrated experience in horticulture and biodiversity maintenance, have exceptional communication, organisational and time management skills with the ability to embrace new technologies in relation to streamlining operations that ensure efficiencies. To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Certificate III in Horticulture and/or Certificate III in Conservation & Ecosystem Management or equivalent experience.
- Drivers licence and MR Truck licence;
- Work Zone Traffic Management Certification;
- Competency in chainsaw use;
- Sound organisational and time management abilities; and
- Be willing to embrace new technologies in relation to streamlining operations to ensure efficient work practices.
