Technical Consultant to both lead technical Document Migration activities and manage the SDT Program's SharePoint Online implementation.The candidate must have a combination of the Document Migration and SharePoint Online skills. PowerShell skills for scripting are essential.Job Title: Technical Consultant - Document Migration & SharePoint OnlineContract: Initial contract through 20 Dec 2024 with two possible extensionsLocation: Brisbane City FringeJob SummaryOur client is a Queensland State Government agency. Their Service Delivery Transformation Program requires a Technical Consultant to lead technical Document Migration activities and support the SDT Program's SharePoint Online implementation.The Technical Consultant will take ownership of the SDT Document Migration domain, lead implementation activities and produce associated documents and represent those artefacts to appropriate endorsement bodies. The Technical Consultant will be a key participant in all Go Live activities and post Go Live solution support activities.The role reports to the Program Architect for day-to-day activities and liaises closely with the SDT Technical Consultants, Technical/Business Analysts, Go Live Project Manager and other Project Managers and other ICTS team.The Deliver phase involves developing application functionality on the Appian platform and migrating data either from existing in-house developed business applications or disparately stored files/documents across the network into the Appian platform. Key outcomes from the Program include improvements to customer service, employee mobility, business processes, data quality and access to critical business information.The SDT Program is migrating a large volume of sensitive documents from a number of file storage areas to SharePoint Online. The documents are to be migrated and associated with corresponding database entities. As the Technical Consultant, you will take responsibility for the Document Migration and SharePoint Online domain and work proactively with the Program Architects and ICTS resources to own and deliver the outcomes.Technical Consultant to both lead technical Document Migration activities and manage the SDT Program's SharePoint Online implementation.The candidate must have a combination of the Document Migration and SharePoint Online skills. PowerShell skills for scripting are essential.Mandatory requirements/Special Conditions

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Document Migration and SPO solution design, build and support
  • Expertise with the following technologies:
  • SharePoint Online
  • Online.SharePoint.PowerShell
  • Azure Active Directory / Entra ID
  • Operating System
  • PowerShell (Core)
  • PS SQL Server Module
  • SQL Server Express (64-Bit)
  • PowerShell
  • Expertise in securing SharePoint Online using Microsoft Entra Id and principle of least permissions.
Desirable skills and knowledge
  • Demonstrated experience in migrating documents to SharePoint Online using appropriate tools and technologies.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications will be highly regarded.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe key objective of the Technical Consultant is to ensure architectural and technical integrity of the SDT Program's Document Migration and SharePoint Online solution, having responsibility for the following:
  • Leading Document Migration architecture design and implementation, development and execution of associated Document Migration scripting, Document Migration planning and implementation, planning for operational support, and identifying and coordinating the resolution of technical problems impacting the Program;
  • Ensuring the deliverables and outcomes contribute to the overall solution design, resolving conflicts when they arise and escalating risks, dependencies and constraints to the Project Managers and Solution Architects;
  • Maintaining alignment with ICTS operational requirements, particularly around data governance, integration, change and release management, and transitioning to support;
  • Representing our client's interests regarding solution design and delivery and data migration with internal and external partners and service providers, such as the implementation and support partners of each impacted service.
Evaluation Criteria
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing Document Migration using appropriate tools (as above).
  • Demonstrated experience in solution design/build/test of SharePoint Online solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and presenting solutions to mixed audiences, technical and non-technical including senior executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with challenging stakeholders, using a customer focused approach, a collaborative style, effective communication skills, and proactive stakeholder management.
