Technical Expert, Mill Operations - Papua, Indonesia

(This job will be located at jobsite in Papua, Indonesia)

Provide advanced expertise and technical support related to integrated Mill Operations activity to ensure optimum technical solutions, continuous improvement process, and support maximize production of copper and gold in salable and shippable concentrates targeted by the company, within the budget, in a timely, safe and environmentally friendly manner.  The incumbent will ensure Industry Best Practice is applied in the execution of Mill Operations activities to meet all required industry and government standards.  Involvement in successful implementation of Mill Operations Excellence Transformation program is a key aspect of the role. 

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Provide expert advice and recommendation to monitor and control operation of all concentrators to produce copper and gold concentrates, which meet the quality and quantity standards set by the company, in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
2. Provide expert advice in the department's strategic plan in order to monitor and control operating and capital budgets, so that all expenditures achieve desired outcome, and do not exceed the approved amounts, as well as to guide the future budgeting preparation.
3. Provide information and Expertise for Mill plant expansions and modifications, which must be accomplished in a safe and timely manner.
4. Provide expertise to stay abreast with new technology and opportunities that improve production, quality, cost, safety and environmental performance and to implement such Technology in timely manner.
5. Promote safety and environmental awareness to all employees in Mill Operations Department to minimize accident risk.
6. Provide a technical, engineering, processing, and management expert and participate in the development and implementation of staff development plans in Mill Operations Department by formal on the job training, set a leadership and counterpart program of Mill Operations Department to enhance personnel capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Metallurgy, Mineral Process Engineering or other Engineering discipline with a minimum of ten (10) years of practical and senior supervisory experience.
• Excellent Metallurgy and Mineral Processing knowledge.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to choose appropriate communication method for situation.
• Good skills in using MS Office software.
• Other PTFI mandatory competencies.
• Willingness to work in a team environment.
• High level communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English (oral and written) and willing to learn Bahasa.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Highly proactive and achievement oriented.
• Highly focused toward satisfying customer requirements.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a culturally diversified workforce.
