We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as the Technical Owner- Transit Fixed Wireless reporting to General Manager, Field Technical Capability
A bit about your role
The role of the Technical Owner will be able to work across relevant stakeholder groups, both internally and externally as well as into the business to provide subject matter expertise through the lens of Field Services in all new network technology initiatives, network augmentations and transformational programs and process improvements. A detailed understanding of nbn technologies, operational processes & industry best practice will be essential to ensure proposed changes and updates are effectively assessed for relative field impacts. All proposals would need to be risk assessed against the key areas of Safety, Quality, Production, Productivity, Cost and Customer/Network impact to ensure solutions are commercially viable and fit for purpose prior to implementation across the Field Services business.
The Technical Owner will be capable of working across the Field Services business to ensure work practices are delivered consistently to a nbn defined, agreed and documented standard across all workforces nationally. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring all relevant documentation, including but not limited to technical work instructions and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) remain current and applicable to our field-based workforces. You will act as a key point of escalation for Field Services on any identified systemic issues that require detailed investigation to identify root cause and develop mitigation controls.
A bit about you
To be successful in this position, you will possess Tertiary Qualifications in either an Engineering or other STEM discipline and be able to demonstrate excellent organisational, interpersonal and leadership skills, as well as a thorough knowledge of nbn systems and experience defining & delivering business initiatives. A strong understanding of WHS legislation, quality practices coupled with proven experience in influencing stakeholders and Delivery Partners is highly desirable.
