The Opportunity
One of our key Federal Government Clients has a requirement for a Technical Project Officer to support the delivery of a major ICT project for one of their divisions that has a strong focus on the Antarctic environment. As a Technical Project Officer you will ensure that the technical support of the project, change management and transition of the project is delivered efficiently and in a professional manner.
All candidates applying for this position must be an Australian Citizen and have a current Baseline Security Clearance.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Investigation and resolution of technical issues including logging, diagnosis and resolution as appropriate under the direction of the project team
- Structured analysis and a creative approach to complex problem solving and resolution in complex projects to meet deadlines
- Implementation of new infrastructure, technology acquisitions, software solutions and upgrades under the supervision of the project team
- Experience with hardware installation and hardware maintenance of IT infrastructure and equipment, including servers, routers, switches, VoIP equipment, computers and peripherals, and wireless network equipment, including associated copper and optic-fibre structured cabling
- Experience with successful management and delivery of ICT related projects and/or large corporate ICT transformation programs and an ability to adapt to and work across various delivery methodologies (such as waterfall, Agile, Hybrid)
- Provide guidance and leadership to a multi-disciplinary project team, 3rd party vendors, and/or other departmental teams to deliver projects
