In the role of a Technical Sales Assistant, you will assist the Technical Sales Manager with quotations for state supporting account managers. You will receive a company vehicle, laptop, and mobile phone. After the probationary period, you become eligible for commissions, and eligible for promotion every 18 months.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing Technical Sales according to an agreed market strategy.
- Maintain a project registry for quotations.
- Support the Technical Sales Manager through regular visits and call cycles, engaging with consultants and mechanical contractors as needed.
- Provide support for technical queries, sales presentations, and create piping and wiring schematics for technical products and Control Systems.
- Generate and maintain financial and statistical reports using spreadsheets.
- Network within the industry to gather effective feedback on the market state of affairs.
- Conduct site inspections of projects and coordinate or assist with commissioning.
- Update relevant information in Navision for all account holders.
- Attend and present at customer meetings, internal meetings, and company functions necessary for performing duties and aiding business development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Engineering Degree and/or Refrigeration Trade Certificate
- Driver’s License
- High proficiency in computer literacy, with knowledge of Microsoft Suite products—Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent conflict resolution and analytical skills
- Desirable - Previous experience in sales, familiarity with sales processes and quotation preparation an advantage.
