About the opportunity
MHIAA are looking for an experienced Air-Conditioning Technical Sales Manager to join a collaborative team and support the continued growth of the WA sales team based in our Malaga office. Reporting to the State Manager this role requires a professional sales engineer who will be able to drive the specification and sale of commercial and VRF product.
The successful candidate will need VRF application and quoting experience and possess the competencies to develop long term business relationships in the heavy commercial and industrial air conditioning sectors
Although our office is based in Malaga, you may be required to work from home as a response to current or future COVID conditions. Hybrid work is available.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Planning and managing technical sales to an agreed market strategy
Securing listing of MHI products on tender specifications with Consulting Engineers and Mechanical Contractors
Providing competitive quotations to Consulting Engineers, Mechanical Contractors, and Dealers
Providing piping and wiring schematics, technical submission for technical products and Control Systems
Project Pipeline management
Supporting MHIAA accounts through regular visits and call cycles (visiting consultants and mechanical contractors as required)
Supporting technical queries and sales presentations
Networking within industry to provide effective feedback on market state-of-affairs
Manage and support a team of Technical Sales Consultants and Assistants.
The preferred candidate will:
Full Australian working rights.
Hold tertiary level qualifications in Mechanical/HVAC Engineering or equivalent industry experience
Have experience managing, mentoring, and supporting a junior team
Demonstrate proven VRF application and quoting capability
Have experience in preparation of quotation and tender documents
Have experience in commercial account management and sales forecasting
Have Air Conditioning (residential and commercial) sales experience or related industry experience
Have practical and theoretical knowledge on air conditioning components and general operating function
Be familiar with building code requirements
Have information technology competency in Microsoft Office suite.
The successful candidate will be subjected to the appropriate background checks and can include a National Police Check, National Criminal History Check, VEVO Check, and Professional References.
