As the Technical Security Lead, you will be responsible for providing technical oversight and leadership to a mining consultancy that provides bespoke services to their clients. The suitable candidate will ensure project requirements are met and security standards are maintained.
This is a senior position that will require a candidate who is solution driven, skilful, have an abundance of technical and product knowledge whilst possessing excellent board room presence and presentation skills.
Mandatory Requirements and Skillset :
•Demonstrate a proven track record of architecting and successfully delivering complex, large-scale technical projects.
• Exhibit expertise in crafting solutions across cloud platforms (public/hybrid/private) and associated infrastructure design.
• Possess a robust technical aptitude spanning a wide array of hardware and software technologies.
• Showcase prior experience with Firewall technologies, specifically focusing on Azure Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, other SIEM technologies and ARC.
• Demonstrate familiarity with both legacy (IBM AS-400 / EMC VNX5300) and current server technologies, from deployment to troubleshooting. (Private server / Public cloud / Hybrid)
• Illustrate experience with Network Access Control solutions, particularly within the context of Cisco systems, Mikrotik, and Cambium.
• Demonstrate robust working knowledge on IoT / MQQT and related technologies (sensor technology)
• Possess expertise across RAID, JBOD, and other storage mechanisms, with the ability to deploy solutions and recover data (disaster recovery).
• Translate customer requirements into coherent, well-defined designs and strategies.
Stay abreast of emerging security trends, threats, risks, and technological advancements.
• Exhibit proactive adaptability, thriving in environments with evolving requirements.
• Showcase a minimum of 12 years of troubleshooting, operating and managing network and server infrastructure with a focus on security.
• Demonstrate troubleshooting experience in products/technologies such as Cisco Firepower, FTD, FMC, ASA, ASM, Zscaler, and Identity and Access Management solutions (CyberArk, Cisco ISE, SGTs).
• Provide penetration testing skills, including execution and reporting.
• Offer Tier 3 support and effectively manage complex and escalated tickets.
• Possess strong stakeholder management skills and thrive under pressure.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills at C2 level, essential for compiling and presenting solutions and reports at board level functionality.
• Excel in meeting challenging and stringent deadlines.

Daily Responsibilities:
Assume the role of technical leader and oversee customer contracts, ensuring alignment with their requirements while upholding stringent security standards.
• Serve as the foremost authority on security design within complex solutions and platform designs during customer workshops. This involves capturing requirements, translating them into robust designs, and identifying essential documentation to support the solution.
• Develop comprehensive security architectures, both high and low-level designs, along with processes, procedures, and localized work instructions that adhere to industry security standards and controls.
• Provide assurance for security design within intricate solutions and platform designs.
• Create tailored technical roadmaps for customers, specific areas, or domains.
• Obtain signoff on deliverables from the customer's technical specialists.
• Ensure diligent deployment and implementation of designs with robust auditable controls for hardware and software roll-outs
• Facilitate the onboarding of new customers and their acceptance into service for new products within existing customer portfolios.
• Conduct thorough root cause analyses and compile Post Incident Reviews (PIRs) as needed.
• Offer technical advisory services to customers in support of new Security Services, collaborating closely with customer and account teams during the technical data requirements gathering phase.
• Provide consultancy and support in Vulnerability management, IOS upgrades, and policy management, both hardware and software.
• Maintain full awareness of the importance of safeguarding sensitive customer information to uphold the company's reputation as a trustworthy organization.
• Provide leadership and training to technical support staff, including mentoring second-line staff to enhance diagnostic skills and incident management quality.
• Assume the lead role as chief designer during assurance and compliance activities.
• Stay abreast of the latest security standards and controls.
Mentor and guide delivery and operational teams throughout the solution delivery process.
• Effectively resolve technical issues spanning multiple departments and domains.
