About the Role

We are currently looking for Signals Technicians to join our Rail Maintenance team.


This role will be responsible for implementing signal project upgrades, changes and maintenance. The successful candidate will be working towards the delivery of value-adding projects and maintenance to ensure high level of availability for signals infrastructure.


Main job responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development
  • Implements signals works and design changes safely
  • Assist with scope identification for signalling projects and Maintenance (requirements and timeframes)
  • Ensure works are completed on time and up to standard
  • Assist with training of sub-contractors and other staff including apprentices and graduate Engineers
  • Signals maintenance & Fault finding
About You

As the successful candidate you will possess the following:

  • Qualifications at a trade certificate level in Railroad Signalling
  • Cert IV Electrical Rail Signalling (Desirable)
  • A Grade Electrical Licence (Essential)
  • C class Drivers Licence

Location

You will be based at Port Hedland on a fly-in fly-out 14:14 roster. Port Hedland is home to our port and rail operations and is the largest regional centre in North West Australia. The outstanding facilities at the FIFO villages include; a fully equipped gym, TV lounge and games rooms. Additionally you will have access to the state of the art aquatic and sporting facilities in the town of Port Hedland. All rooms at the villages have their own en-suite bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
