Job Summary:

We currently have an opportunity for a Lead Rigger, with proven Telecommunication Rigging certification and experience. This role is for a minimum of 12 months with a view to extend.

You will be responsible for leading a team and coordinating, managing and optimizing activities to improve the overall performance of the telecommunications network infrastructure and service. This includes installation of hardware/software systems, and maintenance and repair of radio access nodes and core network transmission equipment.

Outline of Key Experience Required:

• Certified Rigger (intermediate or advanced) with all required OH&S certifications
• 5 or more years telecommunications rigging experience in a network rollout discipline
• A minimum of 2 years leading a Telco rigging team in building new sites and upgrades
• Familiarity with Optus, NBN, Telstra installation standards
• Installation of Ericsson radio telecommunications equipment and cabling is preferable
• Must be able to perform structural upgrades to telco infrastructure
• Solid understanding and experience doing RF plumbing in modern and complex RAN roll out.

• Ability to read and interpret technical construction drawings
• Ability to prepare acceptance artefacts
• Decision making and problem solving skills
• Construction industry white card
• RF Hazard Awareness Training 
• Flexibility in working hours.
