Telecommunications Linesworker

Ven Electrical Pty Ltd is required an experienced Telecommunication Technician to install, test & commission fibre optic and hybrid fibre copper (HFC) network devices and optic fibre in an active & passive network. This is a full-time job.
The candidate must have the following skills:

• Installs, maintains and riper existing and new Telecommunication equipment such as aerial lines, underground conduits, and cables.
• Reading and understanding Telecommunication drawings, specifications, and work areas to determine positioning and connections for equipment to be installed.
• Lactating faults in Telecommunication network and equipment's
• Schedule network outages wherever required and manage the roll out.
• Install, test, troubleshoot, and commission FJL, BJL, Multiport etc. in the Fibre network.
• Experience with Fibre splicing, installations and fault finding
• Maintain records and provide reporting where required.
• Help teams working on Telstra and NBN Telecommunications pit & pipe, manholes, and aerial jobs.
• Setting up worksites and traffic management, ensuring the safety of the worksites
• Rod & Roping (Pipe proofing), Clearing Blockages in Underground Pipes
• hauling different sizes of Telecommunications Cables.
• Installing pit and pipe solutions for Telecommunication infrastructure.
• Trenching and Grundomat operations

Main Tasks:

• Organize and execute jobs as per the NBN schedules & standards.
• Prepare the documents required to close the jobs and close the jobs on time.
• Ensure that the work completed is as per the general industry and client's standards.
• Maintain site documents.
• Coordinate between client's supervisor(s), end users, and Ven Electrical project team.
• Minimum two years of experience in Fibre Optic and Mixed network installation & commissioning
• Work effectively in a team environment

Salary: $65,000.00 to $77,000.00 /year
Experience:

• NBN Telecommunications Civil, Pipe proving, Cable Hauling and Pit Installation: 2 years.
