Western Cardiology is a large privately owned specialist practice, with multiple service locations throughout the Perth metropolitan and regional areas.
An opportunity exists for a dynamic, well organised, and patient focused person to join us in the role of Medical Telephonist/Booking Clerk. The role can be based at Applecross or Subiaco.
The role is full-time working 37.5 hours per week working from 8:30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Handle main switch phone calls, addressing patient requests, and redirecting calls as needed.
- Efficiently book patient Test appointments based on individual referral details.
- Provide information on test requirements and associated costs.
- Confirm appointments to ensure patient attendance.
- Update patient details, changes, referrals, and test requirements accurately.
- Follow up with external parties on outstanding results or details as requested.
- Assist with additional tasks as required.
About you:
- Ideally, possess experience in a similar role with proficiency in operating a busy switch.
- Proven skills in patient management.
- Sound knowledge of practice management software is desirable.
- Mature, professional, and empathetic in all interactions.
- Ability to multitask efficiently with flexibility and adaptability.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail, including data entry accuracy.
- Provide quality and timely administrative support.
