What you'll be doing

Consultative physiotherapy role to support the child and family health nurses in their delivery of the sustained health home visiting program. The project provides targeted support for pregnant women and continues until the child reaches 2 years of age. The interventions will occur primarily with the child and family health nurse.
The position requirements are to plan, coordinate, and implement in-depth levels of clinical expertise and extensive specialised knowledge within the physiotherapy role in order to provide high quality care to clients of the Sustaining NSW Families team consistent with NSW Health, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Selection Criteria * Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and provide consultative advice to the nurses delivering the program.
- Proven extensive experience in physiotherapy particularly paediatric physiotherapy.
- Demonstrated ability to meet the needs and responsibilities of an autonomous position working in a multidisciplinary team in the community setting.
- Must hold professional qualifications approved by APHRA.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Experience at implementing physiotherapy caseloads with vulnerable families.
- Current unrestricted NSW drivers licence.
