About the Opportunity
A unique opportunity exists for an enthusiastic physiotherapist to join the fun and rewarding team at Bowral & District hospital. We pride ourselves on personalised, evidence based and patient centred care. You will be working as part of the broader Physiotherapy team of 9 therapists across the department, but closely with a highly skilled senior in outpatients providing therapy and care to our community in all areas of musculoskeletal, chronic disease and group exercise.
What You'll be Doing
To provide professional and high quality physiotherapy services to patients in SWSLHD. This includes clinical duties (assessment, treatment and education) and participation in professional development, clinical supervision, teaching and other relevant departmental activities and administrative duties.
Where You'll Be Working
Bowral & District Hospital (B&DH) is a major Rural Hospital which provides a wide range of services, including general medical, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatric, surgical, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, geriatric and emergency services.
Originally founded in 1889, Bowral & District Hospital has been serving the needs of its local population for over a hundred years. From a humble cottage hospital origin, the hospital has grown to a 94-bed facility offering a range of general and specialised services.
Part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, Bowral has close links with a range of Sydney's teaching and referring hospitals including Liverpool, Fairfield, Bankstown and Campbelltown hospitals.
How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible. * Current Physiotherapy Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated broad range of relevant physiotherapy clinical skills and experience
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication, computer skills and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and the application of evidence based practice
  • Demonstrated knowledge and involvement in quality improvement activities.
