Deliver a sustainable future with WA’s landmark urea project!  

Clough, as part of a joint venture, is delivering the Project Ceres urea plant, a landmark project for Western Australia. The plant will be the largest in Australia and one of the largest in the world, installing the most sustainable production processes. The project is expected to generate 2,000 jobs during the construction phase, whilst delivering sustained benefits to the local community through career, training and business opportunities.


We are currently searching for a Temporary Works Engineer to join our team on Project Ceres. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the site team, ensuring Temporary Works procedure is adhered to, working with the delivery team to ensure risk and safety is managed correctly, carrying out inspections and authorisations for Temporary Works and assessing project scope.

This is a site-based position, either FIFO from Perth (20 days on / 8 days off roster), residential for individuals living in Karratha or the surrounding region.

Your focus will include: 
 

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to understand Temporary Works requirements.

  • Assess project work scopes and define/classify Temporary Works.

  • Review and develop risk-based work method statements.

  • Coordinate review of Temporary Works and falsework design, ensuring specification is written with enough detail.

  • Conduct site inspections and audits to monitor Temporary Works implementation and compliance with safety standards.

  • Provide guidance and support to site teams regarding Temporary Works procedures and best practices.

  • Inspection and authorization of Temporary Works upon dismantle and removal, as well as installation and use.

  • Ensure temporary work records are maintained.

  • Coordinate supply, erection, maintenance and dismantling of works.

  • Work across any required change management.

  • Preparation and submission of WPA, as well as Project Planning guideline, work packs and SOWS.

  • Work with stakeholders across all varied departments.

  • Identification of hold points.


What you will bring to the team: 
 

  • Tertiary qualifications in either Civil or Structural Engineering.

  • 7+ years’ experience, ideally within the management of Temporary Works.

  • Understanding/knowledge of BS 5975, code of practice for Temporary Works procedures and ABCB Temporary Structures Standard.

  • Construction experience working within an EPC highly regarded.
