Puma Energy Bitumen has a great opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join the team as a Terminal / Production Operator at our Bitumen facility located at Kwinana, Western Australia.
About this position:
- Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the terminal
- Production including blending and batching
- Technical support and diagnosis of system faults to minimise downtime
- Stock receipt and storage
- Develop, review and manage operational procedures
- Conduct terminal inspections, basic maintenance and maintain housekeeping standards
- Strong focus on HSE, reliability and product quality
- Focus on meeting customer expectations
- Contractor management/coordination and laboratory testing
Our ideal candidate will be a strong team player with good communication skills, who is self-motivated and driven to look for opportunities to improve. They will have a hands-on approach with a can-do attitude and the ability to be calm no matter the situation, as well as flexible availability for working hours (including weekend work) and possess the following qualifications/skills/experience:
- Industrial site experience
- Preferably a minimum of 5 years’ experience in automated/fixed plant
- Strong safety consciousness
- Knowledge of relevant industry engineering and safety standards
- A Manual open drivers license
- Forklift license
- The ability to work shift work, including weekend work
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Computer skills, including competency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems
- Ability to obtain MSIC
- Knowledge and experience in Permit to Work.
As a preference, you will have:
- Experience in automated control systems
- Trade qualification
- Relevant certifications such as: First Aid, Fire Warden, Confined Space, Working at Heights
- Knowledge or experience with shipping and/or as a shore officer.
