About the role:
This position is responsible for defining test strategy and completing test planning, test execution and test automation, where possible, across all test phases for solutions within the Energy Risk Management and Wholesale and Trading businesses.
The position may also be required to assist with business analysis activities, implementation and release activities, and production support activities as requested by the Delivery Manager.
Please note: This position is a 12 months, full time, contract position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defining test strategies.
- Identify and create test data to support test plans.
- Prepare test plans, making coverage decisions balancing the cost of complete test activities with the risk reduction of testing activities.
- Execute test plans, recording results using the quality management tools.
- Debugging and troubleshooting.
- UAT/Regression testing where needed.
- Produce Test Reporting.
- Identify appropriate uses of automation to support testing activities and implement, with approval from the delivery manager.
- Working closely with the delivery team – including developers, business analysts, delivery manager.
What will you bring?
- Experience manual testing software in an IT environment.
- Experience in performing Functional, Non-functional, System and/or User Acceptance Testing on projects.
- Experience in writing and executing test cases and raising defects.
- Experience in fostering relationships with business stakeholders and service providers.
- Experience in prioritising and managing concurrent assignments.
