About the role:
The Test Analyst is responsible for application testing activities within project delivery. This involves the planning, design, execution, and reporting of tests to ensure that applications meet expected quality standards.
Collaboration with stakeholders, including the Test Manager, Project Manager, Business Analysts and vendors to ensure that testing aligns with project goals and objectives.
Specific Accountabilities:
- Support the development, documentation and delivery of Test planning and Test scripts related to the ERP and the integrated TMS
- Active participation in the preparation, peer-review, and execution of test scripts
- Working with the Test Manager, support the defect lifecycle, from identification through resolution, ensuring all identified defects are resolved or have an action plan in place prior to completion of the testing period
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the test team, project team, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure testing objectives are achieved
- Advise on best testing practices and tools contribute to continuously improving testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of testing
- Assist with risk identification and mitigation strategies related to testing activities and implementing mitigation actions to address them
- With the Test Manager, facilitate a daily triage with the test team, stakeholders and application vendors
Skills and experience
- 3+ years’ experience in a Test Analyst role, preferably in an Integrated ERP capacity
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
- An effective leader, communicator & problem solver
- A strong understanding of manual testing methodologies
- Understanding of Agile environments and development practices eg JIRA boards
- Previous experience working with external vendor software development teams
- Experience in the use of PRONTO and JIRA plug-in test tools is desirable
- Exposure or previous experience in ERP application testing is desirable
