Job description

With more than 210,000 members we’ve been a part of the Tasmanian community for 100 years – we're Tasmania’s shoulder to lean on and voice when it matters. Our values guide us in all that we do – Engage with Heart, Unleash Potential, Walk the Talk and Together we Thrive. With our local knowledge and as the state’s number one brand we’re here to support our members by helping them enjoy life, giving them a helping hand and making their money go further.

We’re looking for someone to join our team as a Test Analyst. We’re excited to share this unique opportunity in a full-time capacity for a fixed term of 12 months (parenting leave replacement).

The role is responsible for assisting and supporting the delivery of system changes and new functionality through the provision of a wide range of testing activities.

About the role:

  • Create, execute and maintain the library of manual and automated testing resources to confirm code changes do not compromise existing functionality.
  • Analyse and review both manual and automated test results, modify tests where necessary and provide reports on progress, anomalies, risks and issues and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with teams conducting testing of other business functions to ensure end-to-end testing of applications.
  • In instances where issues (defects/changes) are identified, investigate, analyse, and prepare documentation that clearly explains the issue and the likely impact, and (if applicable) how it can be replicated in a timely manner.
  • Participate and contributes to various team ceremonies, which include, but are not limited to - test planning, retrospectives, stand-ups, and peer reviews.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team’s knowledgebase repositories, testing processes, methodologies, and tools by proactively identifying areas for optimisation and efficiency gains within the testing life cycle.
  • Work collaboratively to solve problems.
  • Support the development and maintenance of a winning culture by living and championing RACT Values, Behaviours and Policies
  • The ability and willingness to work in a friendly - but sometimes time high pressure - environment with tight deadlines.

If you want to be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong, and you’ll have the opportunity to create a real difference in your community and environment - we would love to hear from you!

We have so much to offer when you join our team. Our flexible work environment helps you balance life’s commitments.

We offer exceptional career development. There’s also discounts on RACT products and services, access to all member benefits, reward and recognition programs, regular team activities, three reset days additional to annual leave, volunteer day program, paid parenting leave, and dog-friendly Fridays.

By joining RACT you'll be a part of an inclusive culture that celebrates diversity, recognising every individual for their unique differences.

About you:

  • Have in-depth knowledge of testing concepts and processes.
  • Strong background in performing Regression testing, UAT, Functional testing, Exploratory testing, Cross Browser and Mobile Device testing.
  • Experience using test management and bug tracking tools.
  • Knowledge of automation test creation and maintenance, or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Possesses an open-minded and adaptable outlook when responding to new challenges and opportunities.
  • Demonstrates a love for continually learning and improving your skills and knowledge and that of the team.
  • Experience with Playwright for writing and maintaining automated tests (highly desirable but not essential).

Let's chat if this sounds like you. Please reach out to our People and Culture Team at ***************@ract.com.au if you have any questions about this role or a career with RACT.

Please submit your applications via seek with an up-to-date CV and cover letter by 10.00am Thursday 16 May 2024.
