Test Analyst

About the Department

A national statistical agency, providing official statistics on a wide range of economic, social, population and environmental matters of importance to Australia.

Key Duties

• Independently undertake systems and process testing to meet program needs within tight deadlines;
• Support the gathering and refinement of DA system requirements and acceptance criteria;
• Support platform upgrades;
• Raise test defects, enhancements, and system changes in line with the priority framework which considers business and onboarding requirements;
• Support other team members to develop expertise in the DA Products and processes;
• Engage with business testing stakeholders and maintain stakeholder relationships.

Skills/Knowledge

• Ability to work independently as part of a broader team to deliver time critical tasks.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodology.
• Good communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to write and execute test scripts, record test evidence, raise test defects and follow escalation procedures.
• Experience with Jira, Xray, Pega, Confirmit, Informatica and ABS Surveys.

As these positions are with a Federal Government Agency, only Australian Citizens will be considered. This is a non-ongoing position at the APS4 where you will be employed by the ABS and as such receive a salary, holiday pay, sick pay and 15.4% super contribution and flex time. The salary for this position is $68,122 + super.
