Testing Officer - Electrical Switchboards

In these roles, you will ensure all outgoing Electrical Switchboards meet the highest standards. These full-time positions offer the opportunity to work with industry leaders in switchboard manufacturing.Whats on offer:

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrically test and inspect Low Voltage Switchboards to standards (UL 891, IEEE).
• Verify test values and circuit design using a digital multi-meter and electrical theory.
• Utilise dielectric testers, custom test carts, hand tools, and other tools for testing.
• Use specialised software for testing/inspecting as needed.
• Conduct visual, mechanical, and electrical inspections during assembly stages.
• Inspect products to ensure conformity to engineering drawings and quality standards.
• Maintain and input records or reports related to testing/inspecting activities.
• Document and distribute inspection results.
• Identify non-conforming materials and initiate Non-Conformance Report (NCR) processes.
• Ensure non-conforming products are not released until corrected.
• Assist in manufacturing setup, confirming assembly line processes, parts, tools, and methods.
• Serve as a training resource for final product assembly.
• Complete on-site testing requirements as directed by the workshop manager.
• Rectify or repair damaged or non-conforming enclosures/equipment on-site.
• Perform other tasks as directed by the Supervisor and adapt to meet company objectives.

Ideal Candidates Will Possess:

• Sound knowledge of relevant AS/NZS Electrical and Switchboard Standards.
• Experience in switchboard building and testing is an advantage.
• Technical knowledge of electrical switchboard products and services.
• Experience using relevant programs and software.
