This is a dynamic, part-time, fixed term opportunity, commencing Term 3 until the end of the year at our Wheelers Hill Campus.The ideal candidate will showcase a profound passion for the Performing Arts, captivating and stimulating students while adeptly incorporating innovative learning technologies. We seek an individual of high energy, enthusiasm, forward-thinking mindset, and aspirational teaching practices to join our dedicated Theatre team, working collaboratively to achieve learning area goals.Key Duties
- Review and assess students at the beginning of each program to provide a flexible program that caters for individual students
- Deliver learning programs that demonstrate a research-based knowledge of how students learn and integrate Formative Assessment Techniques
- Evaluate personal teaching and learning programs including feedback from students and assessment data to inform planning
- Design and deliver conceptually driven, student-centered learning activities
- Model high expectations to enable a safe and supportive classroom culture
- Provide Continuous Feedback within school standards and timelines
- Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours
- Demonstrated experience teaching middle years students
- A genuine passion and enthusiasm for the Performing Arts and a positive, can-do attitude
- Is values-driven, able to work collaboratively in a small team, and works to achieves Learning Area goals set
- Demonstrated commitment to on-going professional development and learning
- Interest in co-curricular aspects is desirable as well as an ability to contribute to developing the Performing Arts/Theatre curriculum
- Working knowledge of the IB philosophy and Approaches to Teaching is advantageous
- Holds a Teaching Qualification alongside exceptional knowledge and experience in Theatre (or training in Theatrical Education)
