Full Job Description
As a Therapy Assistant at Lizard, you implement high-quality Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) sessions in a 1:1 environment in a child's home, school or in our centre. This includes both structured and naturalistic teaching, collecting, recording, and graphing all data as advised by the Behaviour Support Specialist and implementing any Behaviour Intervention Plans.
Ideally, the successful candidate will:
- Demonstrate an ability to play & engage appropriately with children
- Have experience working with young children with Autism
- Be able to work with children who may present challenging behaviours
- Develop a positive and objective relationship with staff and families
- Deliver face to face therapy under the guidance of your supervisor
- Be committed to the role for a minimum of 12 months
- Be willing to travel between programme locations, if required

Essential Criteria:
- The legal right to work in Australia
- NDIS Worker Screening Check - or willingness to obtain
- Working with Children Check (Employee) – or willingness to obtain
- Valid Driver’s licence with reliable transport
- First Aid & CPR Certificates – or willingness to obtain
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
