Ball Australia is a wholesale nursery operating in Skye and are currently looking for a person to work in the Tissue Culture Administration team on a full-time basis. The role coordinates all aspects of the Tissue Culture importation process.
The successful applicant will be required to order the Tissue Culture and then perform the administrative tasks such as amending orders, dealing with government departments and generally following up with the paperwork until the product is in the production area.
The role:
Reporting to the Operations Co-ordinator you will be required to manage the Tissue Culture inventory accurately and provide value to internal and external stakeholders.
Key tasks include:
- Tissue Culture (TC) purchase order entry and amendments.
- Liaise with Biosecurity officers to expediate release of TC.
- Supplier delivery confirmation, collate supplier import paperwork.
- Arrange Import Inspections, communication with Department of Agriculture and Import Agents, respond to Department of Agriculture import directives and request permission to move product.
- Maintain records for stock in Quarantine room.
- Follow up on material taken for pathology.
- Arrange TC pick-up and delivery.
- Accurate and timely record keeping of import and supplier consignments.
- Preparing required paperwork for production team records.
- Preparation of labels for TC and Mother stock teams.
- Preparation of weekly TC receival list.
- Data entry and maintaining master data records.
- Collating claims and receipting invoices.
- Take photos of stock as received and send to supplier within 48 hours.
- Populating supplier inspection reports with photos of plants concerning quality.
About you:
You will need to be a motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills and eager to learn new skills. Prior experience in a similar role would be viewed favorably.
