pitt&sherry is an Australian-owned engineering and environmental consultancy. Since 1963, we have been delivering engineering and environmental consulting, advisory and project management services throughout Australia and abroad. With seven offices throughout Australia our team work on projects that transform and improve the lives of ordinary Australians every day. This role can be based in Hobart, Launceston or Devonport or Melbourne.
The Opportunity:
- Work on master planning, precinct planning and other place-based projects with an emphasis on placemaking, liveability, smart sustainable development, infrastructure, economic development, reconciliation, heritage, tourism, community resilience, the environment and Net Zero.
- Provide planning advice and prepare planning applications and assist with other types of approvals.
- Work in different sectors including infrastructure, housing, renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, industrial, commercial, utilities and resources.
- Develop project management skills.
- Work with senior staff to identify and manage project risks.
- Work directly with clients to help resolve project planning issues.
- Carry out management functions on your projects (track timelines, budgets, and deliverables).
What you bring:
- Creativity, innovation and ambition!
- Tertiary qualified in Urban and Regional Planning.
- Eligible for membership of the Planning Institute of Australia.
- One to five years’ experience in planning services.
- Experience with, or demonstrated capacity in:
- Strategic planning, master planning and precinct planning
- Preparation of planning applications
- Stakeholder and community engagement documents
- Other statutory and/or technical documentation
- Excellent written and verbal skills (presentation of concise, strong arguments that can be understood by both Regulators and public).
- Experience with sourcing, collating and interpreting planning and environmental information.
