Ventia have a contract for supporting the maintenance of Millmerran Power Station and Skout are currently seeking Trades Assistant/Labourers with preferrably EWP, Confined Spaces or Working at heights to assist on 4 week requirement (10.5 hrs per day) Monday to friday (possible for Saturday) starting as soon as possible. Please note this is DIDO to Millmerran Power Station and a weekly rural allowance of $90 is paid but no accommodation is provided. This work has the potential to lead on to ongoing work or shutdown positions for the right person.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist with maintaining the plant effectively to the set standards;
- Work with Trades Assistants and other tradesmen to achieve plant performance;
- Complete minor plant isolation and operation;
- Utilise computerised maintenance management system to create/complete work orders;
- Complete routine plant maintenance
About you
- Trade Assistant experience across mechanical trade assistance. Mining experience is not essential
- EWP and/or Confined Spaces and/or Working at heights are highly desirable but not essential.
- A commitment to OH&S practices
- Current drivers licence and construction card
