Opportunity exists for a hardworking, motivated, and reliable Trade Assistant to join our team in Crestmead. This role is integral to the smooth workings of the yard and workshop with the successful candidate assisting in all areas.
This is a full-time permanent role working Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm.
Your daily responsibilities will include;
- Cleaning and preparing Machinery for hire and sale
- Forklift operations for the loading and unloading of equipment for dispatch and receiving.
- Forklift operations to move equipment throughout the branch for cleaning, servicing, and storage.
- Taking ownership of a well-maintained, organised, and safe yard/branch
- Assisting tradespeople with the commissioning, assembly, and pre-delivery inspection of the new assets, where your skills allow you to do so.
- Stocktaking of all New and Hire Fleet in the branch weekly.
- Handling of paperwork between the workshop and internal operations functions.
The successful candidate will be an individual who will honor our core values of People, Safety, Respect, Communication and Continuous Improvement - in addition to this they will have;
- Current Forklift license and demonstrated forklift experience.
- Previous experience with driving machinery is an advantage but not essential as comprehensive training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Be hardworking, able to work a minimum 47.5-hour week and maintain a positive attitude
- Well-developed communication skills
- Assertiveness, tenacity with a demonstratable sense of urgency, determination, and resilience
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of an inclusive team
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and be self-motivated.
- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen.
