The role
You will enjoy working in a role where you will manage your own day and your own workload. With direction from the client supervisors on site and often working with another Fire Suppression Technician your duties will include;-
- Perform fault diagnosis, maintain, and install Fire Suppression systems
- Identify faults in the electrical and mechanical configuration of various mobile suppression systems
- Maintain inspection test reports and documentation
- Support technicians from other regions and assist in training
- Adhere to all policies & procedures especially the EHS policies
- Work effectively either in a team environment or autonomously
- Assist with machine audits/inspections
- Working on a wide range of UG hard rock mining mobile plant
Your value
Ideally, you will have come from a customer facing role and potentially have a have experience working on mechanical and hydraulic systems. However, having no experience in this field is not a deal breaker. You will have the relevant traits;-
- Manual drivers license
- Mechanical or hydraulic knowledge (advantageous, not essential)
- Great Communication skills and looking for a role that's customer facing and on the road at various sites
- Excellent attitude towards learning and forwarding your skills in the mining industry
- Great organisational skills
