Festoon Lighting Sydney is looking for a Trade assistant to work on installation projects and events in the Greater Sydney region.
The offer is $1,300.00 per week guaranteed payment with hourly rates paid for any weeks where more than 40 hours are worked. Day time hourly rate: $35 per hour, night time hourly rate: $50 per hour. If the successful applicant passes the probation period of 3 months they will also be given a work car (Toyota Workmate) to take on extra duties and tasks for the company.
Living around south Sydney is preferred as we are based in Taren Point but not absolutely necessary.
Day-to-day work includes setting up lighting for events, mainly weddings and installing lighting features for residential and commercial clients, preparing equipment in factory and keeping work space neat and tidy. Experience in the event industry and or electrical work would be highly regarded, however any background in construction, events and skilled labour is useful to our work. Work becomes busier in the Summer periods especially Christmas time. When it comes to the events lots of the work takes place during the day and then take downs in the evening.
Promotion to higher paying roles as the business grows is on the cards down the line for the right employee.
Most days we will work together but the successful applicant will be expected to work by themselves on straight forward tasks that only require one person. I am very easy to work with and will be a fair employer to you. I am offering a full 40 hr weeks pay guaranteed as on quiet weeks you may only work 20 to 30 hours.
