We supply hoses to the CS Gas companies here in Queensland, as well as Space, Defence, Food and Beverage and many companies around the world.
We are a digitalised business that invests back into technology and have 3 CNC computerised laths, 4 manual lathes, 6 welding bay facilities, digital crimpers for making PTFE hose, rubber hoses, code hoses, we have a dedicated in-house pressure testing department with the capabilities of producing pressure graphs and certificates.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Trade Assistant to join our production team at our Burleigh Heads Branch.
- This is a full time position at Burleigh Heads on the sunny Gold Coast
- Hours are 6.00am - 2.30pm
- You will also have the opportunity to work in other areas of the production workshop from time to time depending on the requirements of the business
- An opportunity to gain a future position as an Apprentice in Welding or Machining is also available for the right candidate
How You’ll Make a Difference
Working closely with the Production Team, your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Hose preparation
- Bunkering assembly builds
- Hydraulic/Pneumatic Pressure testing
- Dye penetrate testing
- Crimping hose assemblies (Rubber, PTFE, Hydraulic, Composite, etc.)
- Marine disconnect couplings refurbishment operations
About You
As the successful candidate, you will have:
- Previous experience in assembling hydraulic and industrial hoses (highly desirable)
- Ability to produce quality work to meet standards
- Ability to follow work procedures
- Ability to operate machinery, use tools and measuring devices accurately
- Experience with digital work schedules
- Ability to read drawings
- A positive attitude towards workplace health & safety
- A willingness to cross-train in other areas to support staff leave (e.g. Logistics)
- Good verbal and written communication, literacy, numeracy, and computer literacy skills
Desirable:
- Previous mechanical work history
