Macmahon are in an exciting position to welcome applications for a Trade Development Trainer and Assessor to join the team based in Perth. Reporting to the Trade Development Superintendent, you will be focused on the provision of technical Trade Development training across Macmahon's workforce including apprentices plus qualified and experienced tradespeople.
The Perth office is strategically located at the Airport (T1/T2) and boasts an impressive staff gym with personal and group training, free secure undercover parking, and electric vehicle charging stations.
Key requirements for the role include
- Facilitate the provision of Trade Development training across the business
- Support the alignment and standardisation of training content, assessment material and processes
- Provide technical expertise for the development and implementation of training packages
- Provide guidance and support the use of Macmahon training systems
- Partner with site training teams to upskill, support and mentor
- Undertake field observations and proficiency coaching for performance of maintenance employees
- On site delivery of training or support for operational training requirements
Ideal qualifications & attributes
- Mechanical trade qualification, preferably Heavy Diesel or similar
- Current Cert IV in Training and Assessing
- Excellent computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and the ability to learn new programs
- 3+ years' experience in similar role or supervisory tradesperson or leading hand
- Broad mechanical and electrical knowledge background in earthmoving or mining equipment
- Competence in Electrical systems and Hydraulics and an ability to read and interpret schematics
- Knowledge of Caterpillar programs - ET & SISWEB
