  • $66,276 pa (includes industry allowance and uniform allowance) + super (up to 12%) + leave loading
Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream B) - Level 4 of the EBA5 * 9 day fortnight
  • 76 hour fortnight
  • Location: Bribie Island
About our opportunity
This position will have you supporting the delivery outputs of our broader Asset Maintenance department by working alongside a Crew Leader to undertake a range of trade labouring duties and construction and maintenance tasks across a suite of projects. Your daily duties will have a focus on providing assistance in identifying bridge and other civil infrastructure defects and carrying out maintenance works as required. You will be communicating with a range of internal and external stakeholders and using plant and other equipment (as trained/licenced to do so) while completing your tasks at times.
About you
Ideally you will have current or recent experience in a similar position with exposure to working on bridges in a maintenance or construction capacity. You will also have effective communication skills and will be willing to work constructively as part of a broader team. Safety is a key priority for us as an organisation, and we will be seeking candidates who not only have the knowledge and physical ability to safely undertake the manual tasks required in this role, we want you to have a genuine desire to contribute to a positive safety culture.
Paired with the above mentioned skills and experience, you will also hold a current truck licence (MR - medium rigid class) and a Construction Induction Card. You will also either hold a Certificate III in Civil Construction Bridge Construction and Maintenance or another relevant qualification or have demonstrated relevant experience in your application.
