About the role


Salary: $88,178.00 pa + Incidental Allowance, Superannuation and Annual Leave Loading.

Position Type: Ongoing – Full Time.

Location:Wellington Correctional Centre

As the ideal candidate for this Overseer Printing role, you must be fully qualified and have experience in the following trade, Lithographic Offset Printing.

As the standout candidate for this role, you will have robust communication skills, a positive attitude, positive work ethics to train and supervise staff and inmates, Quality control / inspection experience to ensure compliance. You are also required to have good computer knowledge and be resilient with strong time management skills.

About You

As a standout candidate you will have:

  • Proven trade experience
  • Current certificate III in Printing related trades - Lithographic Offset Printing and Flexographic Printing.
  • Experience in operating sheet fed offset printing & web printing
  • Willingness to work across varying trades and ability to multitask to achieve operational goals.
  • The successful candidate will be paid to undertake Primary Training for Certificate III in Correctional Practice.

Essential requirements

  • Current Certificate III in any of the following: Print or Printing (Offset Printing) related trades.
  • Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified timeframes
  • Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive to locations as required
  • General understanding of capabilities around the use of computers and electronic platforms to access relevant departmental programmes and applications
  • Ability to meet the key accountabilities and focus capabilities detailed in the Role Description

Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) delivers professional correctional services and programs to reduce the risk of re-offending and enhance public safety. It serves a key function of the NSW Communities and Justice Sector by providing effective, safe and humane management of offenders both in custody and in the community CSNSW also works in partnership with other government and community agencies to ensure that offenders and their families are supported.
