SalaryJob Description: "Downer Rail and Transit Systems (RTS) is committed to providing the highest quality of Rollingstock and Overhaul services for the Australian market. We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team based in Maryborough Qld. About the role: Our Mechanical Fitters perform a key role in the Downer Rail production team and will be primarily responsible for the assembly and overhaul of new and refurbished rollingstock. Specialising in the diagnosis and overhaul of various Rollingstock Fleets. Role requirements: Assembly of rollingstock and associated equipment. Overhaul and assembly of passenger vehicle and locomotive bogies. Overhaul of braking systems and pneumatic components Complete all documentation and inspection check sheets Specific desired skills and experience: Trade qualified - Certificate lll in Engineering - Mechanical Fitter Rollingstock manufacture and overhaul are desired but not essential. Can work unsupervised and be a hands-on team player. Proven ability to organise and prioritise tasks, Flexible and resourceful proactive and professional Strong communication skills.
