The role
This is your chance to kick-start a fulfilling career in the mining industry as a Trainee Mine Operator! You will receive comprehensive training, a competitive salary and the chance to work with a leading company in the field
Over the course of the 2 year traineeship, you will become competent in the operation of a minimum of 3 pieces of heavy mining plant equipment/machinery, all while undertaking a Certificate III in Surface Extraction!
This role is located at our Klein Point mine, which is located to the south of Stansbury on the popular and picturesque Yorke Peninsular!
Seeking expressions of interest from school leavers to mature age, a C-class licence is required (provisional licence acceptable)
Working 4 days on 4 days off, dayshift only lifestyle roster you will enjoy a balanced work/life environment. Rostered hours of work are 0700-1800.
No experience is required to apply. The successful candidates will show commitment to completion of their traineeship.
Responsibilities
- You will be trained on the operation of various mining equipment & mining plant
- Participate in training in all areas of processing plant and machinery use
- Following production schedules
- Ensure safe production and quality output
- Learn how to monitor operational plant performance
- Undertake training to confidently operate heavy mining equipment
- Maintain clean and safe working environment
- Undertake studies to complete Certificate III in Surface Extraction Operations
What you will need to succeed
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team environment
- C - Class Drivers license (provisional license acceptable)
- To be self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Ability to accept coaching and guidance
