Tronox is a fully integrated titanium minerals producer and pigment manufacturer.
Across our Australian operations, we extract and process mineral sands into a range of valuable products, including ilmenite, zircon, rutile, and titanium dioxide pigment, which are then exported to international markets. The Role This role will be located at the Atlas NSW mine site, near Balranald, NSW, about 3 hours east of Mildura.
The position will be a 2-year traineeship working on a 12-hour, 7 day - 7 off - 7 nights - 7 off roster. This position will be bused into site from our hub locations – Buronga (Mildura) and Balranald. We will provide you with contemporary accommodation including camp kitchen (all meals provided), gym, and sports facilities.
The position is responsible to Operate plant & equipment. Identify issues with plant & equipment. Enter data accurately and promptly into the Control
Room system. Responsible for collection and delivery of in process samples for laboratory analysis Assist team members with tasks. Prepares routine permits to work for their area (e.g. WAH, Hot work, Line isolations) Follow set procedures in the event of an emergency situation.
Ensure all shift handover requirements are well detailed easy to understand and ensure continuity of plant/process performance is maintained. Skills and experience required: This position requires you to have a positive attitude, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills, enjoy hands-on learning. Completion of Secondary Schooling to a
Year 12 level. A willingness to work as part of a team and have exceptional communication skills. Motivated to pursue a career in the mining industry.
Excellent safety culture The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and regular drug & alcohol screening tests. Current C class driver's licence and own transport
