About the role:
We are seeking a qualified Industrial Electrician looking to complete additional training to obtain an in-demand trade as a Signal Electrician. We understand our environment is unique and obtaining the qualifications for our jobs is best gained by first hand experience and quality mentoring from skilled Aurizon staff. All training will be provided and facilitated inhouse by accredited trainers and assessors. You will obtain a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Electrical Rail Signalling within 8 – 12 months.
About you:
You will be a qualified Industrial Electrician with experience in heavy industry or preferably rail sectors. You will have a strong focus on fault finding and defect resolution, will be solutions orientated and display quality workmanship and exceptional time management skills. You will have a high regard for personal and process safety and will be looking to work one of our family friendly lifestyle rosters, all based on a 76-hour fortnight.
- Cert III Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent.
- Queensland Electrical Licence (Mandatory).
- Competent in Fault Rectification, Testing and Commissioning
- High level of skill in the repair, maintenance and overhaul of assets and associated components equipment.
- Substantial level of knowledge of functions, defects and fault finding with equipment associated with assets.
- Ample level of skill in interpreting technical instructions and drawings.
- Substantial level of knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and instructions including the Workplace Health and Safety Act.
- Sound level of both written and verbal communication skills.
