Atkinson Childcare College (ACC), a Registered Training Organisation in NSW, is looking for a Trainer and Assessor in Early Childhood Education and Care to join our growing team of professionals. Based in the Charlestown/Newcastle area. The permanent part-time role will be for at least 14 hours per week.
This is a hybrid opportunity where you will work from home, and at the office, creating a great work life balance with flexible work hours.
ACC has been an RTO for 16 years and services students both locally in NSW and across Australia.
ACC specialises in providing training for the latest Children’s Services qualifications:
- CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
We are looking for a passionate Trainer and Assessor who can work in a team environment to mark learners’ assessments, conduct workplace visits, and follow RTO procedures.
Main Duties
- Marking student assessments: if you have not done this before we will teach you
- Entering competencies and records into student management system (aXcelerate)
- Conduct workplace visits (locally within 50 kms of Charlestown)
Essential Requirements
- Must hold current TAE (40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment) or working towards completion.
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent and/or current Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
- Currently working in Children’s Services or ability to show currency
- Must have access to own computer and internet access
- Must live within one hour of Charlestown NSW
Personal Attributes
- Previous training experience is NOT essential. We will teach you
- The ability to follow RTO policies and procedures
- Knowledge of online learning platforms or willingness to learn and technology experience
- Strong communication
- Positive and approachable communication style
- The ability to show respect and engage all learners
- An ability to work unsupervised with time management skills and professional presentation
Note
The successful candidate must live within 1 hour of Charlestown NSW, and will be required to work from our office as required.
