The Opportunity
We have a new and challenging opportunity arise for an experienced Mining Trainer & Assessor to join our Team.

Primary Purpose
The primary purpose of the Workplace Trainer is to provide training and assessment for ports and bulk employees, contractors, clients and visitors, and other stakeholders
Specific Responsibilities
Training and assessing of various mobile plant and equipment
Verification of Competency Assessments
Mainly working with MC Drivers & Machine Operators
Facilitation of classroom-based Safety Training and Inductions
Ability to demonstrate initiative and work without supervision
Well organised and excellent time management skills with strong attention to details
Hands on approach to teamwork, positive attitude and superior customer service skills are essential
Administrative and scheduling duties as required:
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
MC drivers’ licence
Minimum 2 years’ experience to meet AQF requirements on customer sites
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in bulk operations specifically (Preferably) SSAN
Ability to obtain suitable security clearances for various states for SSAN
Ability to obtain suitable security clearances for various states for SSAN
Competent operator in a range of skills relevant to the specific work environment e.g. Truck driving of various combinations, load and unload techniques of AN
Current High-Risk Forklift licence – LF
Preferably experience in loading/unloading shipping containers
Minimum 2 years’ experience to meet AQF requirements on customer sites
Knowledge of company standards and expectations
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment minimum (or other with approval of National Learning & Development Manager) Key Competencies/Skills (May need to change to Enterprise trainer skill set unless we want the able to develop training material and deliver courses etc.) Easier to obtain and may get a more qualified hands on experienced trainer rather than a trainer with the admin quals only and less experience.
Demonstrates ability to explain tasks and information to others and provide guidance and feedback when someone is doing a task incorrectly
Demonstrates ability to identify and challenge a person or group of people when they breach safety policy or procedure
Support other trainers in their role and development
Computer literacy; skilled in using Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint
Participates in development
Current validation to deliver training, participates in validation for self and others
Residential Role based in Gladstone; no accommodation supplied.
