KTrans are a Western Australian family owned and operated transport and logistics business operating from our modern facilities in the Roe Hwy Logistics Park Kenwick. Our focus is providing premium end-to-end logistics solutions for our clients. We are a diverse organisation and offer a variety of services including express and line haul transport, bulk waste transport services, wharf cartage services, warehousing, regional distribution, and specialised transport solutions.
We are currently seeking capable and experienced heavy vehicle driver trainers to assist in ensuring that KTrans drivers are operating to the highest standards. KTrans has need for coverage across a range of driving fields, including Bulk Dangerous Goods Transport, Linehaul Transport, and Local Bulk, Containerised, or General Freight Transport. These are permanent full-time roles with immediate start.
The successful applicants will have qualifications and experience in assessing the competency of potential driver candidates and existing personnel, along with aiding in maintenance of the high standards of driving that KTrans expects. The roles will require coordinating with operational teams, improving and developing training packages or assessment criteria. As members of the KTrans Health and Safety Team, the applicants will display sound knowledge of safety standards relevant to the transport industry.
The role:
The role involves ensuring that all KTrans drivers are competent in the skills necessary for their work, and further in ensuring that they possess the right attitudes and levels of professionalism that we expect.
You will be accountable for:
- Conduct of suitable driving assessments for new drivers in our various operations
- Reassessment of existing drivers to maintain standards
- Provision of training in business, industry, and customer required skillsets
- Development of KTrans training packages, verifications of competency, and coaching materials
- Support/backup of operations teams where necessary
- Compliance checks
- Assisting in auditing processes
- Display and promote the KTrans Pillars of Discipline ~ Loyalty ~ Accountability ~ Honesty ~ Pride
The Requirements:
- Minimum certificate level qualification in Training and Assessment, with secondary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety an advantage
- MC Drivers License with considerable experience in driving operations
- Bulk Dangerous Goods License and suitable experience with the transport of bulk dangerous goods is essential for at least one of the roles and a strong advantage in the other
- Be a safety champion and promote a positive can-do workplace team culture with your peers
- Ability to develop suitable training/assessment documentation
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work and manage timeframes and activities independently
- Ability to coordinate activity within a team environment
