We are delivering innovative support programs and property and tenancy management solutions to some of the most vulnerable people in our community, we have deep empathy for the communities we are embedded in; always focused on the people who need us most.THE OPPORTUNITY:The role will work collaboratively with victim-survivors and family violence case managers on the transition from refuge or crisis accommodation and reduce barriers for victim-survivors to access private rental properties. Coordinate housing provision and support from existing specialist family violence support services (including case management, use of flexible support package/brokerage and/or personal safety initiative) and linking with other universal and specialist services (e.g., legal, health including mental health, employment services) as appropriate.Actively engage with the clients, using theoretical frameworks of Trauma Informed and IntersectionaPractice, strength-based approaches, and rapport-building skills to develop a safe and trustful working relationship.Work with the client and Family Violence Case Worker to develop holistic, strengths-based, and goaloriented housing plans which remain with the client for the duration of their support under the program, to be shared with all members of the multi-disciplinary care team.Where appropriate, assist with the review of client housing plans and help clients progress against their plan when required.Ensure appropriate Risk Assessments are developed, documented and applied.Be a key point of contact for clients regarding their housing and transition plans.Participate in care team meetings.Where appropriate, broker access to services to obtain and maintain housing, including negotiating with Real Estate Agencies as required.In collaboration with the FV Case Worker and Tenancy Worker, support the client to build their capacity and sense of self-efficacy by working with them to build skills in navigating health care and community support systems and increasing community connections and activity that is meaningful to them.Support clients to learn or relearn skills and develop the confidence required for independent living ABOUT YOU:Extensive experience working in the Community Services Sector, particularly with victim-survivors of familyviolence.Understanding of the Residential Tenancies ActRelevant tertiary qualification (desirable)Solid written communication skills with the ability to adapt to the audience.Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict management skillsExceptional customer/client service focus and understanding of people undergoing significant personal crisesexperiencing poverty, homelessness, and housing stress.Exceptional organisational/time management skillsA sound working knowledge of digital systems, digital communications, and Microsoft Office programs.WHAT WE OFFER IN RETURN:Inclusive, innovative work cultureFlexible working arrangementsCompetitive remuneration, NFP salary packaging for living expenses, meal and entertainment expensesOpportunity to purchase additional leaveExtensive up-skilling and development opportunitiesNEXT STEPS:To view the position description, click on "Download Attachments..."When applying, please provide a copy of your CV and a cover letter outlining your skills and experience relating to the key selection criteria.
