The Role

As the Transport Co-ordinator, you will work alongside a team of 7 office staff with a small warehouse team. You will be responsible for assisting in coordinating FCL & LCL movements of import and export containers & consignments 

Duties of the role include:

• Assist to coordinate FCL movements of import and export containers.
• Assist to Coordinate LCL transport
• Allocate trucks and liaise with drivers.
• Ensure container slot bookings are checked and correct (relevant to wharf/container parks).
• Apply container numbers to slot bookings.
• Booking of de-hiring of containers.
• Timely and accurate updating of our transport management system.
• Allocate driver hours to run sheets
• Approve 3rd party invoices, with summary of costs.
• Optimise fleet operations.
• Other duties as when required.

What you need

To be successful in this role you must be highly organised, have the ability to operate effectively under pressure and ideally have a freight forwarding / transport background.

• Have a high level of attention to detail.
• Can multitask
• Knowledgeable and experienced with Microsoft Excel and Outlook with an ability to learn and understand new programs.
• Willing to learn and be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment
