Form of workBB Freight Service are currently looking for a permanent Full time Despatch Assistant to be part of our busy transport company based in Yatala.
Daily duties include but not limited to:
- Allocating pick ups and deliveries (up to 45 active runs)
- Ensuring all pick ups/deliveries travel safely together (DG Classes, weight, dimensions all to be considered)
- Communicating with drivers and office staff
- Liaising with customers
- Final checking of drivers manifest
- Truck Maintenance records
- Organising parts & servicing for vehicles
- Assisting with discrepancies
- Booking in Pick Ups
- Quoting Jobs
- Answering phones
- General office duties
This position would suit someone who:
- Has experience in Transport & Logistics, highly regarded
- Has extensive knowledge of the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Northern NSW suburb areas, highly regarded
- Has administration experience, highly regarded
- Is looking for a long term position
- Is a team player, however can make decisions and think for themselves
