Description
As a Transport Dispatch Consultant your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure rostering practices are compliant with legislative requirements, providing advice to Regional Operational Coordinators where adjustments are needed
  • Assist with the accurate recording of both planned and unplanned leave, scheduling changes, and roster adjustments in the relevant data base or business system. Provide advice and feedback to Regional Operations Coordinators regarding same to avoid impact on client service
  • Enter data in the various computer systems, maintaining logs, records of calls, activities related to rostering, changes in scheduling and any other relevant information
  • Maintain up to date record of resource allocation and communicate to appropriate managers and staff
  • Monitoring driver logs, traffic reports and sever weather events
  • Assist as required and directed with routine audits, filing, and archiving for the department as required
Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • A current Criminal History Check
  • Logistics/dispatch experience would be advantageous
  • Experience within a call centre would be advantageous
  • An understanding of and commitment to the community services sector; previous experience in a client transport and/or personal care role would be advantageous.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple incoming and outgoing communication streams including but not limited to phone, text messaging and emails
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and written communication skills - capacity to liaise professionally with a varying client base including clients with disability and aged persons related conditions
  • Intermediate IT skills
  • The ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Proven ability to manage schedules and tasks.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
