About Lives Lived Well

Mental health concerns and alcohol and drug dependency can make life really tough – and too often people find themselves grappling with economic challenges and social isolation as well. Our driving belief is that “with the right support people can change”. We are a progressive, for purpose organisation, delivering leading edge clinical services aimed at supporting people to live their lives well. We are growing fast in Queensland and New South Wales – in size, geographic footprint, service diversity and clinical innovation.

About the service

Logan Family Recovery (LFR) is a unique residential rehabilitation program which makes it possible for parents to receive support while their young children stay with them. The units are located on the site of Logan House, Chambers Flat. The program is on a quiet, rural setting. Our specialist team includes drug and alcohol and family counsellors, a treatment facilitator, a registered nurse and other allied health professionals.

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and energetic Treatment Facilitator to join our Logan Family Recovery team.

In this role, you will undertake case management with clients who are wanting to overcome their alcohol and drug dependence. With your ability to work in a high demand environment with a level of autonomy and efficacy you will provide high quality engagement, assessment counselling and support services to your clients using your experience in evidence based practice principles for withdrawal, support and recovery.

You will also:

  • Work with clients to develop, implement and review individual treatment goals.
  • Manage a case load of clients providing clinical support, service coordination, referral and advocacy to assist client in achieving their goals.
  • Supervise and manage risk where practicable, associated with clients residing in a residential treatment context – including high level complexity and dual diagnosis behavioural management.
  • Facilitate group work and processes autonomously. Taking sole responsibility and management of challenging behaviour, efficacy blockers and detractive dynamics.
  • Develop program resources and key documents that support the clinical and operational functioning.
  • Provide culturally appropriate practice as relevant to varying clients.
  • Ensure that client records, data collection and reporting are consistent with confidentiality and relevant practice standards.

About you

You have a strong connection with our purpose, vision and values and you are prepared to roll up your sleeves so we achieve our goals – for us and our clients. We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates with Tertiary qualifications in a relevant human services discipline with additional experience in counselling AOD clients highly regarded. You will also demonstrate the following:

  • Applied knowledge in contemporary evidence based AOD clinical practice.
  • Demonstrated expertise in residential treatment service delivery with a sound knowledge of the potential risk elements specific to this type of environment.
  • Experience in developing and delivering education programs and group facilitation with AOD clients.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage own workload.
  • Highly developed communication and community engagement skills.
  • Membership or eligibility for membership with relevant professional body such as Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) (desirable).
  • Hold a Blue Card (or ability to apply).
  • Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence.

The base salary for this role is up to $88,702.64 per annum dependent on skills, qualifications and experience.

Here is what we have on offer:

  • Wellness leave – up to 5 extra paid days off each year.
