About the role:
Unitywater is building a recycled water pipeline that will contribute to year-round water security for farmers in the Wamuran region. This exciting new position is critical to Unitywater’s commitment to zero net nutrients in our waterways by 2050. You will be responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and executing the operational tasks associated with sewage Treatment Plant or recycled water plant to ensure compliance with Unitywater’s legislative and operational requirements. You will manage daily operational and maintenance activities and deliver effective and efficient operation of relevant infrastructure including that associated with the Wamuran Irrigation Scheme (WIS). Additionally, you organise operational activities for the team and liaise with service providers to ensure prompt servicing, repairs, and maintenance of assets.
About you:
To contribute to Unitywater’s values of Reliability, Safety, Honesty & Integrity, Efficiency, One Team, Innovation, you will demonstrate the following skills and qualities for the role:
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles of effective Treatment Plant operation meeting the required outputs of relevant legislations and regulations.
- Relevant industry qualifications such as a Certificate III in Sewage Treatment Plant Operation or similar.
- A practical and working knowledge with hardware, software, instrumentation, communications, and process control associated with sewage treatment and recycle water plants.
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with strong time and project management skills.
- C Class Drivers licence and a strong safety focus.
