Wallenius Wilhelmsen is looking for a pro-active, motivated, mechanically minded candidate who has a few years’ experience in the area of assembly working on vehicles, machinery or undertaken a similar job function, to join our diverse, collaborative and supportive Truck build team at our equipment processing centre. To be successful in this role, it is expected that you have a strong eye for detail, trusted mechanical aptitude and an understanding of hand and power tools that will assist in adding value to our builds by ensuring that Australian Design Rules and Customer Specifications are completed.
What you will do:
- Change/alter/add-on/check specifications on Road going vehicles and equipment to agreed specifications.
- Prepare material dispatch advices - including identification, picking and packing of correct parts/attachments.
- Prepare vehicles/machines for dispatch including; placing in or out of storage, pressure washing and detailing, shrink-wrapping kits, picking and packing of attachments and stock takes.
- Test or assist in testing the operation of completed product; including quality inspections and audits.
- Perform routine checks such as fluid levels, accessories’ completeness and paint touch ups.
Skills and Experience
- 2 years’ experience in a similar position within the industry.
- Driver’s licence would be essential.
- Mechanical Qualification or experience in relevant industry
