Truck Driver

Bulk building materials supplier based in Essendon has a unique opportunity for an experienced professional rigid tipper driver.

The role will be delivering Quarry and landscape products around Melbourne metro and Vic country to various building and construction sites.

In addition to driving, you will be trained at our Essendon Office in transport logistics about transport scheduling, order processing and route planning to give you an understanding of the business’s operations and processes.

The main role will be to pick up and deliver Quarry and landscaping products to building sites in and around Melbourne and Vic Country.

You must be able to work 5 ½ days a week with early starts Monday to Friday and the occasional Saturday.

Must be willing to learn transport scheduling and operations in our Essendon office as well as driving.

Skills & experience:

The successful applicant will be experienced in Quarry or Garden supply deliveries with reasonable knowledge of Quarry and landscape products and Melbourne metro and suburbs.

• Hold a current HR or MR licence, with a safe driving record.
• Have a friendly attitude and be well mannered towards customers, community, and work colleagues.
• Able to and take direction and work unsupervised.
• Be willing to work in our office assisting, allocating and scheduling deliveries as part of your training.
• Must be reliable and have the ability to work effectively and follow procedures / instructions.
• Commitment to safety, and an understanding of your CoR obligations
• Hold a Construction Induction Safety certificate (White Card)
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean inside and out at all times.
• Present yourself professionally at all times.
• Pick up and deliver products as directed by the allocations team.
