We are looking for experienced, professional HC-MC Truck Drivers for haulage of packed sugar from Condong and Harwood mills to various customers, and sugar transfers on Condong and Harwood premises. The position is a full time permanent role.
Reporting to the Supervisor, this position includes the following responsibilities:
- Operate equipment as per all applicable laws in NSW including the Heavy Vehicle National Law & Regulations
- Use of MT Data as per instructions
- Use of Onboard Mass Systems as per instructions
- Have a strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Comply with the conditions of entry at all mill sites and business premises
- Meet agreed timeframes by complying with statutory fatigue breaks, including the co-ordination of fatigue breaks where necessary
- Complete trips efficiently without wasting time as per instruction from the Supervisor
- Monitor and manage personal fatigue and do not operate equipment if fatigued
- Report, as soon as practical, any near misses, incidents or damage to the equipment under your control to the Supervisor
- Report all equipment maintenance issues to Head Mechanic or Supervisor
- Operate a forklift according to the Safe Work Procedure/ SWMS to load and unload trucks
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Essential
- HC or MC Licence
- Good driving record
- Forklift Licence
- Willingness to undertake pre-employment medical
- Willingness to undertake pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
- A clear background check report – no criminal history
- Good employment references
Desirable
- Knowledge of local roads in the Northern Rivers region of NSW
- Chain of Responsibility training
