SalaryTrojan Freight is a Newcastle based transport company who specialise in transport of shipping containers and dangerous goods. We are looking for experienced MC drivers to work alternating AM and PM shifts. Previous A-Double experience will be highly desirable.
The role will include but not limited to:
- Transport of shipping containers and dangerous goods loads to specified locations.
- Rotating AM and PM shifts
- Carrying out vehicle routine checks and maintenance.
- Driving various prime movers and trailers.
- Operate a container side loader (experience ideal, but not necessary).
- Maintain your RMS log book to correct regulations.
- Completing basic consignment note and mass management paperwork.
The successful applicant will need the following skills and experience:
- Current MC heavy vehicle drivers license
- Previous B-Double or A-Double experience
- Good driving record
- A can do attitude.
The role will be a casual basis with expected work hours of 4-5 days per week and weekend work is available, varying times of the day including night and early morning pickups. Driver will be required to carry out local deliveries around Newcastle, deliveries to Sydney and surrounding areas. Some interstate deliveries may be required. Driver must be prepared to sleep in truck sleeper cabin for overnight runs.
Applicants with previous experience operating a side loader handling shipping containers, A-Double experience and a current DG license will be highly regarded when applying for this position.
